Innupta bos (Sen.

Abstract
Innupta bos (Sen. Oed. 373) is to be intended, considering the tragic parallels and the semantic of this attribute, not as a 'coupled cow', but as a 'cow married in an ill-omened way'. Vv. 376-378 should be referred to the foetus founded in the cow's womb, and not to the sacrified cow itself, therefore turpes ... trunci is to be understood as shapeless stumps, or animal legs not yet formed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
