This paper presents some results of hybrid LES-RANS simulation of flow over a staggered matrix of cylindrical pins bounded by a cold and a heated plane endwall. The focus is on a comparative analysis and mutual correlation of vortical structures, velocity- and thermal fields. The thermal field is visualized by temperature contours and heat-flux lines. The latter make it possible to identify the heat "corridors" and distinguish regions with dominance of stochastic turbulent transport and of large-scale vortical convection.
