This paper illustrates the current progress of research work dealing with the use of on-board force measurements to broaden understanding of interaction phenomena. For this purpose, experimental results from static bench tests and field tests with the innovative CML method are compared with those obtained from Finite Element Modelling (FEM) and Multi-Body Simulation (MBS). This also leads to indications for the proper use of MBS for vehicle dynamics calculations.

Abstract
This paper illustrates the current progress of research work dealing with the use of on-board force measurements to broaden understanding of interaction phenomena. For this purpose, experimental results from static bench tests and field tests with the innovative CML method are compared with those obtained from Finite Element Modelling (FEM) and Multi-Body Simulation (MBS). This also leads to indications for the proper use of MBS for vehicle dynamics calculations.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
