Abstract

This paper deals with the organization of the delivery system in Rome. The study outlines the “best practices” and the results of a cluster analysis on the relationships among implemented measures and some socioeconomic features of the sites they are implemented in. It then tackles the feasibility of a reorganization process for delivery operations in Rome’s central areas. The study focuses on the design of a suitable loading/unloading lots provision that is currently insufficient. Once such basic requirement is met, it goes on to address the development of strategies to improve delivery operations
