Abstract
Transmission electron microscope observation of the microcolony investment reveals a multilayer reticular structure which includes loose reticular layers, dense reticular layers, fibrous layers, and a compact layer. The investment of the "balls" of filaments is a homogeneous slime with few and very thin fibrils.
