The paper proposes the use of a mobile sensors network for the cases of large or distributed measurements requirements. An optimal approach for the computation of the trajectories for the sensors is followed. In addition, problems on the communications between mobiles are faced, producing a slight modification of the optimal control problem formulation. Simulation results are provided in order to evidence the effectiveness of the proposed solution and the effects of the constraints due to the communication requirements.
