Abstract
Usually compared to two kinds of reactors in series, tubular and agitated, the semi-fluidized reactor appears to be convenient for many applications as wastewater purification, oils, coals filtration and some others reactional operations. The aim of this work, in continuation, is a better knowledge of the fundamental phenomena. In fact, a comparative study between various states of the bed, and particles morphology influence on the hydrodynamic parameters of the semi-fluidized state was carried out, in order to deal with various applications particularly the wastewater treatment. Spherical and irregular particles were used (250 μm, 500 μm respectively), in the Plexiglas’s column of 6,4 cm diameter. Minimal and maximum velocity of semi-fluidization, and pressure drop measurements, enabled us to establish correlations predicting the expansion of the semi-fluidized bed as well as the additional pressure drop due to the interaction piston – particles, according to the gas velocity and the geometry of the system.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
