In fact, using SCMT, in Italy, it is possible to limit the number of the train drivers: it will not necessary any more the presence of two train drivers for all the trains. This aspect will be relevant in the reduction of a discount, called K2, that the infrastructure manager applies to the railways undertakings in relation to the oldness of the network.
