In this contribution we discuss the architectural terracottas found in the fill of a watercistern in the so-called Area V of Veio-Piazza d’Armi attributed to a “casa-torre” (“towerhouse”) and their interpretation according the new reference-grid offered by Symbols of Wealth and Power. With the exception of the new pieces of architectural decoration presented at Deliciae Fictiles which was held after the publication of the new book, almost all fragments have been considered by Nancy Winter, even if possibly in an advanced phase of her work. The new pieces have been attributed by us to the new reference grid, so that for this context we have to deal with at least three decorative systems, Decorated Roofs of the Late Orientalizing Period, (…), decorated with the White on Red technique and dated 640/630-580 BC, the Rome-Campania-Northern Etruria Decorative System, dated 590-575 BC, and the Decorative Systems Using Primarily Military Scenes, dated 580-540 BC. Of these systems an Italian equivalent is proposed.

Abstract
Of these systems an Italian equivalent is proposed.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
