This paper presents an investigation on the occurrence of bifurcating nonlinear normal modes with particular attention on their evidence in the forced system response. The study is carried out on a two-degrees of freedom system characterized by piecewise linear restoring forces, by means of a theoretical analysis as well as numerical simulations and experimental tests.

Abstract
This paper presents an investigation on the occurrence of bifurcating nonlinear normal modes with particular attention on their evidence in the forced system response. The study is carried out on a two-degrees of freedom system characterized by piecewise linear restoring forces, by means of a theoretical analysis as well as numerical simulations and experimental tests.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
