Aim of the study was to analyze the neuropsychiatricfeatures of 69 patients (29 males, 40 females) with visuallyself-induced seizure (SIS) with particular attention totheir psychiatric comorbidity, assessed by DSM-IV TR(2000). In 46 cases SIS were associated to spontaneousseizures, whereas 23 patients had only reflex seizures.Psychiatric disorders recurred in 52 patients (75%); mentalretardation in 25 (36%); 14 patients did not show anypsychiatric disorders.
