Study of the bronze copies of sculptures in the Belvedere collection, which Francis I commissioned Primaticcio and Vignola, has shown up that these influenced several artists who were working for the King. Jean Goujon, who later executed the architectural illustrations for the French translation of Vitruvius in 1547, was inspired by these Bronzes for details of his female sculptures.
