The electrical characteristics of poly(p-phenylene sulphide) single crystals, grown from dilute solutions in diphenyl ether, have been investigated before and after doping with I2 and AlCl3. The resulting modifications in the thermal and i.r. spectroscopic properties are described. The results indicate marked anisotropy of the transport properties in the crystals, with preferential movement of the charges in the direction perpendicular to the chain axis.

Abstract
The electrical characteristics of poly(p-phenylene sulphide) single crystals, grown from dilute solutions in diphenyl ether, have been investigated before and after doping with I2 and AlCl3. The resulting modifications in the thermal and i.r. spectroscopic properties are described. The results indicate marked anisotropy of the transport properties in the crystals, with preferential movement of the charges in the direction perpendicular to the chain axis.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
