The morphol. of poly(p-phenylene sulfide) (I) single crystals grown from dil. solns. of di-Ph ether was studied by TEM and small-angle x-ray scattering as a function of crystn. temp. in 150-220°. TEM of I showed aggregates of small lamellar, needle-shaped crystals with one axis much more developed than the others. Small-angle x-ray scattering curve showed a reflection centered at 2θ = 0.31°, which corresponded to a width of ∼28 nm. This long spacing value remained unchanged over the entire range of crystn. temp. studied.

Abstract
The morphol. of poly(p-phenylene sulfide) (I) single crystals grown from dil. solns. of di-Ph ether was studied by TEM and small-angle x-ray scattering as a function of crystn. temp. in 150-220°. TEM of I showed aggregates of small lamellar, needle-shaped crystals with one axis much more developed than the others. Small-angle x-ray scattering curve showed a reflection centered at 2θ = 0.31°, which corresponded to a width of ∼28 nm. This long spacing value remained unchanged over the entire range of crystn. temp. studied.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
