The reliable interpretation of radiometric measurements requires reproducible and low-noise photothermal data. Using a fiber coupled 20W diode laser the SNR of a radiometric setup could be improved. We studied the influence of signal distortions i) in the low frequency range due to the generation of non-plane thermal waves and ii) in the high frequency range due to surface roughness.

Abstract
The reliable interpretation of radiometric measurements requires reproducible and low-noise photothermal data. Using a fiber coupled 20W diode laser the SNR of a radiometric setup could be improved. We studied the influence of signal distortions i) in the low frequency range due to the generation of non-plane thermal waves and ii) in the high frequency range due to surface roughness.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
