The enthalpies of formation of the intermediate phases in the systems Ru-Ge and Ru-Sn were measured by Knudsen cell-mass spectrometry. The interest for these systems lies in their large implications in semiconducting materials and catalysts industry. The germanium and tin equilibrium vapour pressures were measured at various temperatures over two-phase domains. The enthalpy changes of the decomposition reactions were determined by the second-law method and the third-law methods. Less extensive measurements have been carried out also for the Ru-Si systems. The obtained values are compared with literature data and with those furnished by the semi-empirical Miedema's model.

Abstract
The enthalpies of formation of the intermediate phases in the systems Ru-Ge and Ru-Sn were measured by Knudsen cell-mass spectrometry. The interest for these systems lies in their large implications in semiconducting materials and catalysts industry. The germanium and tin equilibrium vapour pressures were measured at various temperatures over two-phase domains. The enthalpy changes of the decomposition reactions were determined by the second-law method and the third-law methods. Less extensive measurements have been carried out also for the Ru-Si systems. The obtained values are compared with literature data and with those furnished by the semi-empirical Miedema's model.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
