EPITHELIOID HEMANGIOENDOTHELIOMA (EHE) of the liver is considered a rare, mesenchymal tumor, characterized by an epithelioid appearance and vascular endothelial histogenesis. In 1982, Weiss and Enziger1 first coined the term “epithelioid hemangioendothelioma” (EHE) for a group of 41 soft tissue vascular tumors of endothelial origin, with unpredictable malignant potential and intermediate histological characteristics between hemangioma and angiosarcoma. A similar tumor, known as intravascular broncholoalveolar tumor, was described in the lung by Dail and Liebow in 1975.2 It was Ishak,3 however, in 1984 who first describe the clinicopathologic features of 32 cases of of EHE of the liver. To date about 200 cases have been reported in the literature, but many aspects of this tumor remain unclear.4

Abstract
To date about 200 cases have been reported in the literature, but many aspects of this tumor remain unclear.4I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
