To the JNA redearship, craniotomy with awake anesthesia is the preferrable technique for neurosurgical procedures that require intraoperative localization of eloquent brain areas and for other functional neurosurgical procedures.1–5 We used this technique in a new setting to test motor and speech abilities during temporary arterial clipping in a patient undergoing surgical resection of a giant intracranial aneurysm.
