A rapid and sensitive method has been developed for the determination of ornithyne carbamyl transferase (OCT) based on the separation and UV detection by ion-pair reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography following on an reaction mixture. The method is based on the measurement of L-citrulline formed from L-ornithine and carbamyl phosphate. The reaction conditions for the assay of OCT in serum samples were examined. The absence of assay additional reactions or sample pretreatment, makes this method more advanced compared with the other ones and more suitable for the routine determination of OCT in human serum sample.

Abstract
A rapid and sensitive method has been developed for the determination of ornithyne carbamyl transferase (OCT) based on the separation and UV detection by ion-pair reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography following on an reaction mixture. The method is based on the measurement of L-citrulline formed from L-ornithine and carbamyl phosphate. The reaction conditions for the assay of OCT in serum samples were examined. The absence of assay additional reactions or sample pretreatment, makes this method more advanced compared with the other ones and more suitable for the routine determination of OCT in human serum sample.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
