We report on a quasi-collinear second harmonic generation experiment strongly influenced by the intensities of the involved light beams. Considering the phase-modulation suffered by the interacting light beams during generation, the process can be interpreted in the framework of a nonlinear coherent coupler. Switching as high as 98 +/- 2% has been experimentally observed.

Abstract
We report on a quasi-collinear second harmonic generation experiment strongly influenced by the intensities of the involved light beams. Considering the phase-modulation suffered by the interacting light beams during generation, the process can be interpreted in the framework of a nonlinear coherent coupler. Switching as high as 98 +/- 2% has been experimentally observed.File allegati a questo prodotto
