This study focused on the Italian version of the Social Dominance Orientation (SDO) Scale (Pratto, Sidanius, Stallworth, Malle, 1994). The Italian SDO Scale, tested using a 412 university student sample, showed a unidimensional factorial structure, with a high reliability score. Discriminant and convergent validity have also been studied: the Italian SDO Scale highly correlates with other measures of Authoritarianism (e.g. Altemeyers' RWA and Ethnocentrism) and is able to discriminate among people having different Gender, Political and Religious orientation.
