Anger as a risk factor for arrhythmias in coronary heart disease patients

Anger , a painful emotion often perceived in association with threatening psychosocial stressful interactions, may be considered belonging to the group of the so called "negative emotions" (anxiety, sadness, worry, mental stress). Such emotional conditions have been widely studied as risk factors for coronary heart disease . According to some authors, in these patients A may be considered a risk factor for arrhythmias. This study was aimed at studying the role of anger in precipitating threatening arrhythmias , particularly ventricular tachycardia , in CHD patients with a previous myocardial infarction and hemodynamic failure.
