A numerical model of a commercial mobile phone, equipped with a dual-band internal planar antenna, has been implemented inside a commercial electromagnetic simulation tool. The model has been optimised by using a procedure based on the minimization of a cost function which compares the simulation results with near field measurements in free space and with SAR measurements in a cubic phantom. Field and SAR distributions obtained with the optimised numerical model are in good agreement with measurements.

Abstract
A numerical model of a commercial mobile phone, equipped with a dual-band internal planar antenna, has been implemented inside a commercial electromagnetic simulation tool. The model has been optimised by using a procedure based on the minimization of a cost function which compares the simulation results with near field measurements in free space and with SAR measurements in a cubic phantom. Field and SAR distributions obtained with the optimised numerical model are in good agreement with measurements.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
