In the present research a new biosensor for the determination of the ethanol content in organic liquids or solvents, such as leadless petrols and biofuels was fabricated. The new biosensor is also quite peculiar: it is a 'substrate competition' OPEE (Organic Phase Enzyme Electrode), in which the enzyme, catalase, immobilized in kappa-carrageenan gel, is coupled to an amperometric gaseous diffusion Clark type oxygen electrode.

Abstract
In the present research a new biosensor for the determination of the ethanol content in organic liquids or solvents, such as leadless petrols and biofuels was fabricated. The new biosensor is also quite peculiar: it is a 'substrate competition' OPEE (Organic Phase Enzyme Electrode), in which the enzyme, catalase, immobilized in kappa-carrageenan gel, is coupled to an amperometric gaseous diffusion Clark type oxygen electrode.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
