In this contribution a procedure of eye detection and localization for biometric applications is presented. It is essentially based on the calculus of two polar moments whose values are employed for detection and localization of pupils. The polar moments are calculated using a bank of mono-dimensional Hermite filters whose outputs can be easily converted to give the local expansion of the analyzed image in the Gauss Laguerre polar separable family of functions. © 2008 IEEE.

Abstract
In this contribution a procedure of eye detection and localization for biometric applications is presented. It is essentially based on the calculus of two polar moments whose values are employed for detection and localization of pupils. The polar moments are calculated using a bank of mono-dimensional Hermite filters whose outputs can be easily converted to give the local expansion of the analyzed image in the Gauss Laguerre polar separable family of functions. © 2008 IEEE.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
