This paper describes a technological approach for the realization of frequency selective shielding coatings characterized by high optical transmittance in the infrared region. The adopted method consists in sputtering a multilayer thin film and afterwards patterning the obtained coating by laser ablation. The geometry of the desired pattern was designed to improve the optical performances without losing the radio frequency shielding properties. The results of the characterization performed on a laboratory-scale prototype coating are presented.

Abstract
This paper describes a technological approach for the realization of frequency selective shielding coatings characterized by high optical transmittance in the infrared region. The adopted method consists in sputtering a multilayer thin film and afterwards patterning the obtained coating by laser ablation. The geometry of the desired pattern was designed to improve the optical performances without losing the radio frequency shielding properties. The results of the characterization performed on a laboratory-scale prototype coating are presented.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
