Fracton displacements have been measured through an interferometric optical technique on a simple fractal system: a piezoelectric composite plate made of piezoelectric ceramic and epoxy resin elements alternating according to a Cantor triadic bar code. Good agreement is obtained with eigenmode displacements calculated using a transfer matrix model.
