Abstract
A many body quantum system undergoing multiple resonant tunneling in a double barrier heterostructure is studied within a mean field approximation. The resulting nonlinear Schrodinger equation shows genuine chaos with a positive maximum Lyapunov exponent. A simplified model of the same system suggests that chaos develops only if the interaction among the particles is nonuniform in space.File allegati a questo prodotto
