Nowadays, the present trend in biometrics is towards multimodal systems. In particular, this work analyzes the combination of the two different biometries face and ear. The twofold contribution is given by the introduction of a new normalization function, namely the mapping function, able to overcome the limitations of commonly used functions, and by the definition of the SRR (System Response Reliability) index, whose purpose is to estimate the reliability degree of each system response. Abstract
Experimental results in the final part of our work provide a positive feedback about theoretical statements within the body of the paperI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
