The paper explains the first results of using in a course of architectural design the software program KAAD (Knowlecge-based Assistant for Architectural Design) developped at Department of Architettura Tecnica e Tecnica Urbanistica, Faculty of Engineering, University of Rome "La Sapienza". The software manages and draws attention to the relationships in a Space Domain among the Space Units and Building Units on one hand, and in a Technological Domain among Constructive Elements and Functional Elements on the other, at different levels of designing.
