Abstract
Control of satellite formations in orbit is realized using the virtual structure approach and formation feedback concept. Asymptotic convergence onto the desired position in the orbit frame is analytically demonstrated for a formation of N satellites that evolves according to the Euler-Hill equations. Tracking of a legal formation is evaluated by simulation as a means for reducing the control effort in presence of an external force field. Finally, the control system is implemented in a nonlinear model of the individual agents of the formation where the effect of Earth's oblateness is taken into consideration.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
