The present paper deals with the study of an analytical protocol to evaluate the exposure of the drivers of public vehicles to selected air pollutants in a big city. The proposed protocol has been applied to a research project in cooperation with the Italian Welfare Minister in the city of Rome; in the following, final results of both external and inside vehicle air monitoring have been reported in comparison with other experimental data coming from similar measurement campaigns.
