This paper deals with the main features of INFONET, a broadband integrated service local area network, and is basically devoted to the description of its perfonnance. For this purpose, analytical and simulative studies have been carried out for both isochronous and non-isochronous traffics. Adopted models together with the most significant results are discussed.
