Set up by the German Association of Language Centres, UNIcert® is a language education and competence certification system based upon a framework of reference agreed by more than 50 universities or other higher education institutions. The principal aims are the promotion of equivalent norms in language education and the provision of recognised language certifications that guarantee the quality of the language education offered by the single academic institutions. Compared to other language certifications, UNIcert® is not limited to a single language or level, and the single institutions can adapt the language education and the evaluation range for language competence to the specific needs of their academic programmes. For its complexity and flexibility, this language certification system deserves to be known and adopted on a much larger scale.

Abstract
Set up by the German Association of Language Centres, UNIcert® is a language education and competence certification system based upon a framework of reference agreed by more than 50 universities or other higher education institutions. The principal aims are the promotion of equivalent norms in language education and the provision of recognised language certifications that guarantee the quality of the language education offered by the single academic institutions. Compared to other language certifications, UNIcert® is not limited to a single language or level, and the single institutions can adapt the language education and the evaluation range for language competence to the specific needs of their academic programmes. For its complexity and flexibility, this language certification system deserves to be known and adopted on a much larger scale.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
