The thermalproperties of the complexes of alanine, leucine and valine with several divalentmetalions [Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II)] were determined using TG and DSC analyses and compared with those of analogous glycinate complexes. The thermal stability order of the series of complexes examined does not correlate with the Irving and Williams series for the stability of complexes in solution; however, a reverse correlation results with the order of basicity of the ligands.
