The aim of this work is to verify the possibility to introduce a FBG sensorized optical fiber inside a pultruded carbon fiber-polyester resin composite bar in order to in monitor the deformation of this structural element. Principal aims are to develop a process of optical fiber insertion without modifying considerably the industrial original pultrusion process and to assure a fiber-matrix adhesion sufficient to guarantee the deformation transfer from the matrix to the fiber itself. The material have been completely characterized through examination with optical and electron (SEM-EDS) microscopes in order to verify the optical fiber integrity, composite morphology and interfaces characteristics. Finally bending and tensile test have been carried out on sensorized bars in order to verify the correct functioning of the FBG sensor

Abstract
Finally bending and tensile test have been carried out on sensorized bars in order to verify the correct functioning of the FBG sensorI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
