Fiber optics with photo-imprinted Bagg’s grating have been studied in order to be used as temperature sensors in cryogenic applications. Sensors have been coupled with different metallic materials to improve the measurement sensibility in the very low temperature region, i.e. 4.2-30 K. Various coating have been deposited on the external fiber surface and a full characterization of the tested sensors is described in the paper.

Abstract
Fiber optics with photo-imprinted Bagg’s grating have been studied in order to be used as temperature sensors in cryogenic applications. Sensors have been coupled with different metallic materials to improve the measurement sensibility in the very low temperature region, i.e. 4.2-30 K. Various coating have been deposited on the external fiber surface and a full characterization of the tested sensors is described in the paper.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
