While isolated REM sleep Behavior Disorder (iRBD) is primarily de!ned by REM-related dysregulation, emerging evidence suggests that NREM sleep, particularly Slow Wave Sleep (SWS), plays a crucial role in neuroprotection and metabolic clearance. This study investigates whether speci !c electrophysiological markers in NREM sleep, such as K-complexes (KC) and Slow Wave Activity (SWA), can serve as early biomarkers for cognitive decline in iRBD.

Abstract
While isolated REM sleep Behavior Disorder (iRBD) is primarily de!ned by REM-related dysregulation, emerging evidence suggests that NREM sleep, particularly Slow Wave Sleep (SWS), plays a crucial role in neuroprotection and metabolic clearance. This study investigates whether speci !c electrophysiological markers in NREM sleep, such as K-complexes (KC) and Slow Wave Activity (SWA), can serve as early biomarkers for cognitive decline in iRBD.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
