Abstract

The space industry is evolving through the New Space Economy and the deployment of small satellite large constellations. Integrating Industry 4.0 technologies into MAIT processes enables Smart Factories powered by Cyber-Physical Systems: this study presents a systematic approach to digitalizing space manufacturing using the Acatech model to assess digital maturity, define strategies, and implement solutions such as Digital Twins, IoT, and Virtual Testing. Case studies illustrate how these technologies optimize assembly, testing, and control, enhancing efficiency and traceability across advanced industrial environments.
