Adaptation, the set of strategies and solutions aimed at addressing the effects of climate change, is transforming the face of cities, impacting the way we conceive and design their space and governance. At the heart of the European Green Deal, combating the effects of climate change is being effectively implemented through numerous programs and projects. Of particular interest among these is Mip4Adapt, the EU’s technical assistance platform that supports regions in planning climate resilience pathways. This article explores some of the initiatives developed by technical assistance, sharing the experiences of different territorial entities (regions, provinces, mountain communities, cities) and offering a platform for reflection on governance strategies to define an approach that is useful for creating operational and implementation methods for climate adaptation in urban planning through the identification of spaces and the active involvement of stakeholders.
