The exhibition on the Luminara of Pisa highlights the identity of a place through an event of the local historical tradition, a candidate for UNESCO Intangible Heritage, with the ability to characterize the urban area of the riversides in the historic centre. The atmosphere created by this event was also revived in Rome, during the days of the conference, in which, on the occasion of the inauguration of the exhibition, the candles applied to the facade of the PDTA Department building in via Flaminia were lit, reproducing the scenographic effect of the building’s architecture.

Abstract

The exhibition on the Luminara of Pisa highlights the identity of a place through an event of the local historical tradition, a candidate for UNESCO Intangible Heritage, with the ability to characterize the urban area of the riversides in the historic centre. The atmosphere created by this event was also revived in Rome, during the days of the conference, in which, on the occasion of the inauguration of the exhibition, the candles applied to the facade of the PDTA Department building in via Flaminia were lit, reproducing the scenographic effect of the building’s architecture.
