The paper presents the outcomes of the third day, held on 20 October 2022, focused on the concept of place, in its dual meaning of material and immaterial place, also recalling the sensory aspect of heritage, especially in the relationship with urban space and with regeneration actions connected to it, in consideration of the fact that, in many contexts, the urban space coincides with the components of cultural heritage and becomes its container and showcase. Cultural heritage adds to the concept of "place" the attribute of a collective memory and identity: above all, as a representative element of urban environments, the permanence of the spatial configuration of places helps to cultivate and substantiate a memory that can no longer be experienced in the same way it has been in the past.
