Abstract
This paper evaluates the current digital versions of the Thesaurus linguae Latinae (ThlL), highlighting the limitations of predominantly typographic XML-TEI encoding. It argues for a more explicitly semantic markup in order to improve search functionality and data interpretation. In this context, it presents an ongoing digitisation project, developed by Sapienza Università di Roma in collaboration with the Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften, based on a semi-automatic encoding process aimed at creating a more flexible, interoperable, and research-oriented digital ThlL.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
