Abstract
With its varying cross-section and its elongated, curvilinear morphology, the ground-floor gallery designed by Zaha Hadid has become the stage for a grand narrative in four acts. This narrative was an attempt to capture the manifold natures of Rome through an unprecedented lens, distinct in its critical, instrumental, and curatorial methodologies that display the city far beyond its mere "image." The essay reflects critically about the Exhibition "Rome in the World "dispayed at the MAXXI Musem in relation to other crucial precedents, namely "Uneternal City" and "La metropoli spontanea.
