Retroclival subdural hematoma (RcSDH) is a rare medical condition that accounts for only 0.3% of acute extra-axial hematomas. It can be caused by various factors such as trau- matic motor vehicle accidents (MVA), pituitary apoplexy, oral anticoagulant or contraceptive therapy, severe hyperten- sion, thrombocytopenia, or bleeding from posterior com- municant artery (PComA) aneurysms [1]. Diagnosis is usu- ally made through head computed tomography (CT), which shows a hyperdense retroclival hematic collection with a convex posterior rim. At the same time, digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and contrast-enhanced magnetic reso- nance imaging (MRI) can also help identify the underlying cause.
