Within the Basilica Iulia project, this contribution presents the workflow adopted for the reuse of archival documentation produced by Laura Fabbrini during the excavations carried out in the Roman Forum between 1960 and 1964. The study develops a methodological framework that combines historiographical contextualization, critical assessment of data reliability, and stratigraphic verification through autoptic analysis and new surveys. A dedicated workflow ensures transparency in the reuse of archival data by distinguishing original interpretations from contemporary ones. The digitization of the Fabbrini archive and the creation of a structured 3D repository promote data accessibility and dissemination in accordance with FAIR principles. This integrated approach to the management of legacy and newly acquired data contributes to the broader debate on sustainability in cultural heritage research.

Abstract
This integrated approach to the management of legacy and newly acquired data contributes to the broader debate on sustainability in cultural heritage research.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
