La nuova legge quadro per lo spazio. Una innovazione per l’Italia

The present contribution seeks to furnish an initial analysis of the recently instigated Italian Framework Law for the Space Economy. This analysis will examine several of the law's key features and contextualise it within a geopolitical environment characterised by intense international competition for access to space and the emergence of new geopolitical tensions. These developments render the development of a national space industry imperative. In particular, it will become evident how the Italian legislator has sought to remedy decades of delay, and more crucially, how this Framework Law exhibits characteristics that could hinder its practical implementation.
