The effects of the Central Italy 2016 earthquake have caused extensive economic losses on the affected territories. However, it made it possible to evaluate the effectiveness of past reinforcement interventions on masonry buildings. In this paper, a comparison in economic terms is developed among the damage observed in the municipalities of Norcia and Arquata del Tronto. The preventive mitigation measures made in the municipality of Norcia shown the effectiveness of significantly limiting damage compared to nearby municipalities. Therefore, through the use of typological fragility curves, traditional intervention strategies are analyzed in terms of damage scenario on a territorial scale. The results show that with the adoption of these measures it is possible to significantly mitigate seismic risk, and with the use of typological fragility curves one may plan intervention scenarios that can optimize resource management.

Abstract
The results show that with the adoption of these measures it is possible to significantly mitigate seismic risk, and with the use of typological fragility curves one may plan intervention scenarios that can optimize resource management.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
