On January 30, 2025, the inaugural lecture of the ‘Corso di Alta formazione in Diritto Romano’ was held at the Faculty of Law of “Sapienza” University of Rome. The session honored Giuseppe Branca: jurist, Roman law scholar, civil law expert, President of the Constitutional Court, and Senator of the Republic. The presentations, delivered by distinguished legal scholars, explored the theme ‘The Life Choices of Giuseppe Branca: Law, Institutions, Politics’, highlighting his contribution to post-war Roman law studies, innovation in civil law dogmatics, his central role in the development of constitutional interpretation, and his parliamentary commitment during the 1970s.
