The study analyzes the strategic potential of the data collected through the PayTourist platform of the Municipality of Formia, with the aim of supporting the introduction and implementation of a data-driven tourism governance model. The adopted methodology is structured in three phases: descriptive analysis, elaboration of synthetic indicators, and the development of a risk–opportunity matrix. The analysis seeks to verify the consistency between the emerging empirical evidence and the programmatic objectives outlined in the Single Programming Document (DUP) 2022–2024.
